Porsche Australia has recalled 6 examples of Taycan Turbo GT, stating that an incorrectly positioned wiring harness may wear over time, affecting seat side deployment.

“Due to a manufacturing issue, the wiring harness under the front seats may not have been positioned according to specifications. As a result, it may become damaged over time and affect the deployment of the seat side airbags,” the recall notice states.

Ket details:

  • 6 examples of the Taycan are affected.
  • Affected cars were produced from 2024-2025.
  • A list of affected VINs can be found here.

“In the event of an accident, a seat side airbag not deploying as intended could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants.”

Owners of affected vehicles can contact their nearest Official Porsche dealer to schedule an appointment to have the airbag wiring harness inspected and rectified, free of charge.
